Pre-Arrival Checklist
To facilitate your admission process, we request that you are familiar with the following:
- We want you to be informed of personal items that may make you more comfortable. Please take time to review our “Things to Bring” to Breathing Space Thailand page.
- In order for us to provide maximum protection for you during your addiction treatment stay, we ask that you bring enough of your own prescribed medication(s) that you are currently taking. All prescribed medication will be kept in our medical clinic and you must have a letter from your doctor supporting your use of this medication.
- In an effort to focus on recovery, please be advised that, inappropriate reading material be left at home. We encourage literature that will help you focus on recovery and we will provide you with supportive materials upon your arrival.
- Please note that your family and friends are invited to send you letters of love and encouragement at any time. We will welcome your invited family and friends to the Breathing Space Family Program and ask that you calendar in the dates for the event prior to arrival based on the attached schedule.
What to Bring:
- A credit card or Cash.
- A credit card to be held on file for any incidental charges.
- Your driver’s license, passport or photo ID.
- A list of all your medications and dosages. Please bring a 45-day supply. While in treatment, authorized medications will be distributed from our licensed clinic. If you have advanced directive please bring it with you.
- The names, addresses, and phone numbers of health care professionals, referents, family members and anyone else you would like to have involved in your treatment.
- $100-$200 in smaller denominations to use during your stay. Please keep in mind there are no ATMs on site.
- A Calling Card to make long distance calls at designated times.
- Laundry facilities are provided at no additional cost.
- Casual comfortable clothing that can be layered.
- Sleepwear.
- Shoes for everyday use and for exercise; A comfortable pair of hiking boots
- Workout attire, including gym attire and a swimsuit or trunks.
- Shoes, shirts and appropriate undergarments are required at all times.. Hats and sunglasses are to be worn outside only.
- Personal toiletries, including shampoo and conditioner, hairspray, mouthwash, body lotion and sunscreen. All toiletries must be alcohol free.
- Electronics: Laptop, and hair dryer. Headset radios, CD players , I-pods and MP3 players Camera (must be sensitive of others privacy) may be brought.
Do Not Bring:
- Inappropriate Clothing: Drug or alcohol “logo” clothing Excessively tight fitting clothes
- Items exceeding $500 in value. Breathing Space Thailand is not liable for the loss or damage of any money, jewelry, documents, or any other articles of unusual value. Breathing Space Thailand’s liability for the loss of any personal property deposited with the BST for safekeeping is limited to $500.
- Cosmetics that contain alcohol:
- Hair sprays
- Nail polish remover, nail glue
- Hair color chemicals
- Aerosol containers
- Aftershave, cologne
- Alcohol free cosmetics can be brought from home.
- Clove cigarettes or lighter butane, cannot be stored on the premises.
- Energy drinks or vitamin drinks.
- Weapons of any kind.
- Any unauthorized medications will be destroyed upon admission into the facility (i.e Suboxone, Klonopin, Xanax, Valium, Ambien etc.)
